Trisha Maygra, Preschool Teacher

Trisha is the lead teacher and owner of Sumner Valley Preschool.  She has her BA from Washington State University in Child Development and Family Studies.  Trisha has worked in the early childhood field for over 14 years.  In addition to her experience and education, she has a wonderful husband and two fantastic children.

Marylou, Preschool Teacher

Marylou has her Child Development Associates and Washington State S.T.A.R.S certification.  Marylou has been teaching preschool for nearly 17 years. Her work experience includes teaching for Head Start preschool and Good Samaritan Hospital parenting program.  Marylou is also an avid animal lover and raises chickens, goats and ducks.

Shannon, Preschool Teacher Assistant

Shannon has her AA in General Studies from Pierce College and is taking continuing classes in child development.  Shannon has been employed with Sumner Valley Preschool since 2007. 

Katie, School-Age Program Supervisor

Katie has her BA from Central University in K-5 Education and early childhood education.  Katie is married with two young children and is also a sales representative for Scentsy wickless products. 

 Dan Maygra, Art Consultant

Dan studied fine arts at Washington State University.  He offers consultation to the art program and oversees the ceramic studio. Dan is Trisha Maygra's husband.

 Brooke, Teacher Assistant

Brooke is a student at Pierce Community College. She enjoys working with young children and aspires to be a child psychologist.  In addition to working in the preschool, Brooke volunteers for a community program that supports families in crisis.
