Trisha Maygra, Preschool Teacher & Owner
Trisha is the lead teacher and owner of Sumner Valley Preschool. She has her BA from Washington State University in Child Development and Family Studies. Trisha has worked in the early childhood field for over 15 years. In addition to her experience and education, she has a wonderful husband and two fantastic children.
Marylou, Preschool Teacher
Marylou has her Child Development Associates and Washington State S.T.A.R.S certification. Marylou has been teaching preschool for nearly 18 years. Her work experience includes teaching for Head Start preschool and Good Samaritan Hospital parenting program. Marylou is also an avid animal lover and raises chickens, goats and ducks.
Shannon, Preschool 2's Teacher
Shannon has her AA in General Studies from Pierce Community College and is taking continuing classes in child development. Shannon has been employed with Sumner Valley Preschool since 2007.
Danielle, Lead Toddler Teacher
Danielle has her Child Development Associates and Washington State S.T.A.R.S certification. Danielle has been teaching children birth to 3 for nearly 5 years. Danielle is also an avid animal lover and loves to scrapbook in her spare time.
Dan Maygra, Art Consultant
Dan studied fine arts at Washington State University. He offers consultation to the art program and oversees the ceramic studio. Dan is Trisha Maygra's husband.
Karen, Toddler Teacher
Karen, has her AA degree in General Studies from Green River Community College. She has 4 beautiful children form 6-12 yrs. of age. Karen has been our parent volunteer for Sumner Valley Preschool for the last 3 years.
Afton, Assistant Teacher
Afton is a student at Pierce Community College. She is focusing her studies on fine art. Afton enjoys sharing her passion for art with the children.
Chelsea, Lead Preschool Teacher
Chelsea is a graduate from Central Washington University. She has her K-5 elementary education certificate and early childhood endorsement. Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family and scrapbooking.
Raquel, Teacher Assistant
Raquel attends Pierce Community College. She will be graduting spring 2012 with her Early Childhood Ediucation Degree. She is pictured here with her nephew Caleb who she adores.
All Teachers and Volunteers have meet the required S.T.A.R.S certification and health and safety requirements associated to Washington State Administrated Code.
